You guys, some very exciting things happened over the past few days. First off, Joy (who you might remember from her guest post) came to LA for a conference and I was able to finally meet her in person! And even better than just meeting her, I was party to something very magical. HER FIRST TRIP TO IKEA! You guys, there isn’t an Ikea in New Orleans. That is a hate crime (in my exaggerated opinion). The only up-side to that sad fact was that I was able to see the delight on Joy’s face when we walked in the door.
Man, that place is awesome. I mean, there’s $1 frozen yogurt (and as Ryan would also include - $.50 hot dogs) at the finish line. It really couldn’t get any better.
NEXT, I stumbled upon a great deal that I couldn’t pass up. Mainly because it’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time.
I got new chairs for the dining room table! Don’t worry, the old ones went into our storage space, not the dump. But aren’t they awesome?! Granted, they are replicas of “real” Eames chairs. I couldn’t afford the real deal. But I don’t care AS I LOVE THEM!!!! Oh, and I finally got a Cathrineholm plate too! Love, love, love.
So it was a very good weekend, if you can’t tell. There were even some projects that were completed which I’ll be able to show you this week. Some were successes. Others were…I wouldn’t say “failures,” but not winners. You’ll see.
