Stitch Fix

stitch fix

So, I decided to try something a little new and different.  I decided to try Stitch Fix.  “What’s Stitch Fix?!” you ask excitedly (you guys get so easily riled up).  Stitch Fix is a company that, for $20 a month, will hand-pick five clothing/accessory items and mail them to you.  You fill out a “style profile” which gives them your measurements along with your general style (they have pictures for you to choose from).  You can help the stylists out by creating a Pinterest board with some ideas of things you like as well.  After you receive your stuff and try everything on, you can buy the ones you like (the $20 goes toward the purchase) or return them all.  The shipping is free both ways.  You can set up your account so that it only sends you things when you ask for them or you can ask them to send things monthly (or at other intervals).

Why am I doing this?  I’m not really sure.  I figure that I can satisfy my curiosity for $20.  Maybe I’ll be transformed into someone really cool (read: does not wear the same v-neck tee everywhere I go) without ever having to search around 100 different stores.  Granted, I don’t have a lot of faith that the things I am going to be sent will actually fit and/or look great, but eh.  It’s worth a shot.  Also, the box everything sent in is really adorable.  I’m such a sucker for stuff like that.  (Don’t ever ask me to bring a bottle of wine to your house – I know nothing about wine and choose a bottle strictly on how much I like the label).

My first delivery is schedule for June 20th.  I’ll let you know how it goes.

P.S.  I know I still haven’t posted pictures from vacation, but I got a little distracted by…well, Netflix.  And then so much time went by that I kinda forgot.  But I’ll share some shots.  I promise.
