I don’t know if you guys remember, but a LONG time ago, I bought a book about Crewel. Like the thousand other craft books I buy, this one went promptly on the bookshelf only to be completely forgotten about. But if you remember, I was super down in the dumps about my lack of projects after the big Palm Springs party, so I took a gander through all the books I had. Bingo bango. Crewel. I ordered the wool and got started. Ummm…it’s time consuming. It’s very similar to embroidery, but it seems to take longer. Maybe it’s just because of the pattern I chose. Typical. But you guys, the wool…it feels like angel’s wings. I’d assume they’d be soft and wonderful. Maybe they’re not. ANYWAY, it’s super soft and wonderful. Here’s my progress so far:
Yes, I’m not that far. I know. But, in my defense, I am doing this in between other projects. Projects I can’t show you yet. But isn’t it pretty so far? It’ll go much faster once I get those blasted circles done. Actually, there are some new stitches required for the other parts, so maybe not. Probably not…
