I’m SO happy that this is finished. And I’m THRILLED with how it turned out. Hopefully the recipient will enjoy it (they better jump with glee if they know what’s good for them). Oh, and thankfully, my sisters-in-law, Capri and Tate, were in town and they were able to help me take pictures. We actually went to the park across the street in hopes the light was better (not really). The downside - it was windy. Poor Tate was having a devil of a time hanging onto it so that I could snap a picture. Blah, blah, blah, I know you’re dying from the anticipation, so here it is:
It’s pretty, right?! RIGHT????!!!! (Just say it’s pretty so that we can move on). As you can probably tell, I kinda winged it with the back and tried to make it a little more freestyle (like my raps). All in all, I really like it. Like…I briefly tossed around keeping it myself. I said BRIEFLY!
Oh, and I had some fun times with my in-laws and Ryan at an AWESOME thrift store:
Aren’t they little sweetsies?! I’m on the left (THE MOST SWEETSIE OF THEM ALL! Wink…). But my favorite part was this little gem:
Ryan put this on and immediately said, I kid you not, “This is VERY flattering!” I think he was really tossing around buying it. Ding-a-ling. But, as he’s so fond of reminding me, I picked him. At least he looks good in that gladiator breastplate. Right?!

“Freestyle like my raps” = comedy gold. And the quilt is gorgeous!
Thanks! I still want it for myself. If Ryan wasn’t all “WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO WITH ANOTHER QUILT???” I’d probably try to tell myself that I’ll make a gift for my friends another year. I’ll just have to live with having photographic evidence of its prettiness.
LOL.
Damn you people!!! This is not the first LOL I’ve gotten today.
LOL.
I so wish we lived closer.. I might actually finish all the projects I have started on. This quilt is awesome.
Thanks! And that would be SO MUCH FUN!
