Can you feel my excitement? I practically skipped around the room when I stitched the final border on the thing. Then I remembered that I had to assemble the quilt which is a real pain since I do not have any large, open space to spread it out. All the tutorials I read online start out with these words “spread your quilt bottom on a large, hard-surfaced floor…” Then I roll my eyes, silently scream and curse the universe for making my apartment so tiny. I did the best I could (which means there are a lot of wrinkles), so I’m not going to let myself get down about it.
SO, that means that I was able to start the actual hand-quilting. WAHOO!!! I really think it’s going to look nice. Here are some shots:

I’m going to jazz it up a bit more, but this is where I’m starting. Last night I finished one of the TWENTY flowers. Obviously, it’s not a quick process.
Oh, and I sincerely think Ted would be a quilter if he had thumbs. No matter how many times I told him to get the hell off the quilt top while I was trying to iron it, he ended up right back on/under it:
I couldn’t get too mad, though, because he’s SO DANG ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!
