Would I Be Crazy If I Bought This?

Petcube

I think the answer might be yes, but… It’s called Petcube and IT. IS. HILARIOUS. I mean, hilarious in how far we’ve gone off the deep end in our love for our pets. What is it? It’s a gadget that connects to a mobile app (duh) that does things like (well, if they get all the funding):

Sound alerts

Get push notifications to your smartphone when Petcube detects loud barking or any other noises.

Auto play mode

Create your own laser movement routine for better playing experience. It can run automatically when you are not around.

Motion detection

Stay notified when your pet is active and willing to play.

I CAN TELL WHEN RALPH AND TED ARE “ACTIVE AND WILLING TO PLAY” while I’m at work. Granted, they laze around all afternoon, but maybe there’s a window of time where I could remotely play with the LASER POINTER that is included!!!! I mean, this cat LOVES IT:

And I bet they didn’t even need to rub it with catnip like I have to do with every new accatrement (ha ha - I’m so funny) I buy. AND you can customize it:

GAH!! It’s like a boxy sheep romantically standing in a snowy tundra! I. MUST. HAVE. THIS!!

My all-time favorite quote from the Kickstarter page is this:

Thanks so much for commenting! When I explained the concept of the Petcube to my husband, he just stared at me with a blank look on his face. Totaly pet hater, obvs.
