First off, I’m sorry I’ve been out of the loop these last couple of days. Work has been the worst. Damn you, day job!!! You’re getting in the way of life!! So that means I only have this to post about today. It’s a few of the retro flower quilt blocks I’ve made. I think I’m close to being done with all the blocks (I hope), so this is just a sampling. They’re not perfect, but it’s good enough for government work. (Has anyone ever heard that saying before? My old boss used to say it all the time. I always felt it was a little mean.)
I’ve carefully selected these as they are the blocks where the seams match the most. Some of them…not so pretty. But I’ll be sure to show it to you when I’ve sewn the top together. That will be an exciting day, my friend.
OH, and I haven’t forgotten about the poster giveaway! I know it might seem like I have, but I haven’t.

Is that top one bicycle print fabric? Those look sweet! Also, I have heard-and frequently use-good enough for government work. I know several lazy people who have gov jobs, so it is really more accurate than mean.
That fabric is called Birdie Spokes (kinda dumb) by Jay-Cyn Designs. They have it like 10 colors. I LOVE IT! And I guess I should think back to all the times I’ve been a “customer” at the DMV. They move at a snail’s pace.
I’m loving that bike fabric too! And The Wife is right…The Cyclist had a government job at one point and was amazed at how little people did each day.
This makes me realize that I think I want a government job…
