Faux (again) Painting

I just had to share this.  My father-in-law and brother-in-law (should that be father- and brother-in-law?) own a painting business.  Not just a wall painting business (which is a crying shame because then I might be able to beg them to paint my apartment on a whim), but a fancy painting business.  I don’t know what you’d call it.  The name faux painting kinda sounds dated to me, but I guess that’s what it would be called.

Regardless, check this out.  My mind is so blown away.  Couldn’t some of this kind of talent be thrown my way?  I’m not asking for that much.  I’d take 10% of what is required to do something like this.  Shoot – 1%.  I mean, crafting is not artistic talent.  Ugh.  Whatever.

Anyway, here’s what I’m talking about.  This is actually painted.  It is not stone even though it looks EXACTLY LIKE IT!

GAH!  Right?!  Seriously…I can’t stop marveling at this.  It’s almost becoming irritating at this point.  But can they knit???  NO!  Can they decoupage???  Well, probably.  There’s an argument for my superior awesomeness somewhere in there.

So if you’re in the Palm Springs area and are looking for some amazing faux painting, let me know.  I’ll point you to the best in town.  Obvs.
