More RFQ Progress

It was a busy weekend, but I did get some work done on the Retro Flowers Quilt. I’d like to point out that I modified it a bit. I want to make the quilt bigger than the pattern, but…I couldn’t bring myself to cut and sew any more of those blasted flower blocks. They are a real b-word. So I decided to sew white strips between each block. After I started, I quickly realized that I didn’t have enough fabric. Of course. [Insert eye roll here]. And since I didn’t buy the fabric from Jo-Ann’s, I had to order more online. Thumbs down. Anyway, I did and it should be here sometime this week. Hopefully that means I’ll be able to finish the quilt top this weekend. Woohoo! After that - hand quilting. I’m both excited and (super) nervous about that. Anyway, here’s a picture of the progress:

Now I just have to put white strips between each row (I did the columns) and on the border. GAH! I can’t believe how close I am to the end!!!

Oh, and check out this latest acquisition:

Isn’t it cool?! When the lights flash, only the SUS in Sussex flashes. I LOVE IT!!! Thanks, eBay!

But wouldn’t it be better if just the LAST 3 letters in Sussex were the ones flashing? ;)

The saddest thing is that I didn’t even think of that. LOL.
