Retro Flowers Quilt-Along

Ugh. I’m a bit of a Crabby Patty today. Sitting at a desk 5 days a week gets old very quickly. Doing it for 20 years (I started working in an office when I was 5, obviously) is downright depressing. I was watching Project Runway All-Stars the other day (I know…) and Joanna What’s-Her-Name, the Editor of Marie Claire, said that every day she wakes up and says “I’m so excited because I GET to go to work today.” Really?! Do jobs like that exist? Every day I wake up and wonder if I can get disability if I throw myself down the lovely circular staircase in the lobby of my office. The way life goes for me, I’d probably paralyze myself yet still have to come back to work after 12 weeks. “You can always use voice recognition software to get your work done,” they’d say at the disability hearing (if those exist). Double ugh.

ANYWAY, on a lighter note, I FINALLY joined a sew-along. I’ve been wanting to give one a shot for a while now. Actually, it’s a quilt-along. See below:

It’s a bit of a cheater for me since I actually started the retro flower quilt a little while ago. But it has been SLOW GOING and I’m still cutting out some of the fabric, so I’ll probably finish up around the time everyone else does. I was looking over my earlier quilting blocks and was pretty disappointed. I’ll show you pix tomorrow. So that you don’t have to see my sad incompetence, I’ll only show you the better ones. [Sad, depressed and beaten down by life face].

Yep. Still a Crabby Patty…
