Palm Springs Pajama Party

Ryan carwash 2This weekend Ryan and I went to Palm Springs for a retirement party for his mom. And because Ryan’s family is hilarious, they didn’t have a “normal” party. It was a surprise party where we all wore our pajamas. HA! I was all “SCORE!” because that meant I could…dress in some comfy pajamas. Of course, we had high hopes of creating amazing costumes. We had a definite plan for his, but our hopes were dashed when none of the stores in our area had what we needed. Until we got into the desert, where we found the exact pajamas we were looking for. Well, they were in a much smaller size, but Ryan was up for the challenge:

Anchorman pajamasA member of the Channel 4 News Team. HA! They were borderline inappropriately tight (especially since he insisted on keeping his phone in the pocket), but worth the joke. Here are the other things Ron did that night:

Ron BurgudyTook business calls, fixed broken doors and pumped gas. He said people refused to make eye contact with him when they saw him. HA!

And my sister-in-law did a GREAT job with the party. Her husband is ridiculously artistic and made this banner:

Less beep

Their mom worked the night shift, so Capri coined the banner, ”Less Beep, More Sheep” which her husband was more than able to execute (whatever). She also made this bouquet of suckers.

Dum-dumsThere was a sign over it that said “Work is for suckers.” A slogan with which I wholeheartedly agree.

So, here’s the adorable family - mom, Ryan and his sisters:

Lewises

I reminded Capri (and anyone listening today) that I would like karaoke at my retirement party. TWENTY+ MORE YEARS!! [insert sobbing face here]
