I don’t know if you guys can tell, but I’ve been pretty low in the motivation department lately. I have no idea what the problem is. I’d say it was Seasonal Affective Disorder, but I live in the sunniest area so that would be an obvious misdiagnosis.
But recently, my sister decided to make a quilt out of the blue and it reminded me that I’ve been wanting to make a new quilt for the couch since my old one doesn’t really match anymore. But for the first time in all of (well, except two) my quilt-making career, I’m not making one with freaking curves. THIS TIME, it’s gonna be easy peasy. Because I’m making this:
Ummmm…I’ll take that chair as well, please.
It’s from Bea Spoke Quilts. I’m making it in grey linen and different shades of turquoise, though. It’s. Gonna. Be. Gorgeous. And, most importantly, easy. Well, the hand quilting part will be a little time-consuming, but I’ve been wanting to do that forever. Fabric’s on its way, so…LET’S DO THIS!
I hope my sewing machine recognizes me…

i love it! i haven’t been brave enough to tackle a quilt yet…it seems really scary to me?!
It’s not really that hard. It’s time-consuming, but not hard. I started out with a baby blanket and worked my way up to a regular-sized quilt. If you can sew, I’d try it! I was gonna say “give it a go,” that was too rhymey.
Sounds lovely. I so wish i had an ounce of skills to do something like this.
If you can sew a straight line, you can make a quilt. I’m telling you…DO IT! LOL.
Umm, why are you making yourself a quilt and not that feather one for me? Also, I will fight you for that chair, winner take all!
That feather one looks a little difficult. Not that I COULDN’T do it, but I just need something easy. Like squares. And that chair…I would KILL for that thing.
