Sponsor Post – HomeZada

The day has finally come.  The day I introduce you to my wonderful sponsor, HomeZada!!!  I’ll be perfectly honest and say that when they approached me, I was like “What the heck is HomeZada?”  I’m 99.9% sure you’re thinking the exact same thing.  Well I’ll tell you what it is – it’s super freaking cool.  [End of transmission].  Kidding.  It’s an online hub that helps you organize all your home projects, maintenance and inventory.  You guys, I LOVE being organized.  Every year on my work review, I get an A+++++++++++ (like Ralphie) for organization.  Even my junk drawer has a sorting system.  Needless to say, I’m pretty impressed with this product.

NOW, if you’re like me, you might be thinking that there are too many words to read and you’re getting the sense that this post is going to be kind of boring and whatever this “Lizzie” person is talking about seems like it might be expensive.  Wrong!  Get this – there’s a free version. FREE!  Do I have your attention now?  I have mine, that’s for sure.  So keep reading.

Let me break down the HomeZada features for you.  You can:

Manage Your Projects

Track all your future and current remodeling, furnishing and landscape home improvement projects all in one place.  They also have project inspiration boards which you can follow on Pinterest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Can you read my excitement?)

Maintain your Home

Personalize your own property calendar with all the seasonal maintenance requirements for your home.

Document your Possessions

Be prepared by creating a home inventory including pictures of all your things in three simple steps.

Obviously, since I have a tiny apartment (Ryan measured – it’s officially 600 sq. ft.) with no yard, a lot of this stuff is lost on me.  But, not all of it.  My favorite part is the documenting.  There’s a section for listing all your warranties and owner’s manuals.  Ummm…done and done!  We seem to have so many of those and they take up a lot of precious space.  Space I could be using to store more fabric.  And I’m going to make an inventory of all of my stuff (read: diamonds) in case there’s an earthquake (or a robber comes in and steals said diamonds).

Like I said earlier, the Essentials version is FREE!  Do you know who already signed up – THIS LADY!  There’s also a PREMIUM version (which has all sorts of additional bells and whistles) which is $99/year.  Wait.  Hold up.  I take that back.  Because you’re my bloupies, you will get 50% off that yearly price!  All you have to do is use the coupon code “thehip” on the billing page.  It’s only good through August 31st, though, so shake your tail feather!!!

If you could still use a picture in this post (I always appreciate one), here’s a little mid-century home that I wouldn’t throw out of bed (if you catch my drift).  Think of all the home projects I could organize here!  And I could make it mine for a mere $1.8 million!  It’s a steal! [Sad face].

Consider me signed up! For the free version, anyway.

A little bit of trivia: That house was used on Six Feet Under!

Right?! Isn’t it awesome?! Are you joking me about the house? I’d say what are the chances, but I guess in LA they’re not *THAT* low.

That’s how I spelled it (now that I updated it)! Wink… I went back and forth and when the spellcheck didn’t pick it up I ASSumed that was right. Never again…
